📅 2026 Sideline Cheer Season — Registration Info
Registration Opens: March 15 at 9:00 AM!
⚠️ Registration is time-stamped!!!
· Teams formed by elementary school your child attends
· Want to cheer with schoolmates? Register right at 9:00 AM!
💲 Registration Fees/Dates
· $325 – Regular (March 15 – May 1). $345 – Late (May 1 – May 19)

Who Can Participate?
· Athletes entering Kindergarten–8th Grade (Fall 2026)

💲 Registration Fees
$325 – Regular (March 15 – May 1). $355 – Late (May 1 – May 19)
🎉 What’s Included in Registration
· 8 Saturday football games
· Uniform, bloomers & pom-poms
· Field & official usage
· CFSA Cheer Off Competition
💰 Additional Costs to Consider
· Estimated individual expenses could include -Team bow, jacket or underlay, backpack, water bottle, sideline chair, choreography (additional expenses $200 - $300 per athlete)
· Fundraising and sponsorships are encouraged to help offset these costs
🤝 Sponsorships
· $400 mandatory team sponsorship required
· Voluntary sponsorships allowed (CFSA reimburses 80% of approved team expenses in accordance with tax guidelines)
📣 Practices & Time Commitment
· Practices set by volunteer coaches (near home) on weekday evenings or weekends
· Before school starts: Up to 4 events/week, after school starts: Max 3 events/week
· Games on Saturdays (weekday make-ups possible)
· Cheer is a team sport - Consistent attendance expected
👥 Squad Formation
· Formed after football teams are established
· Based on school you attend
· CFISD attendance NOT required
· Placement based on registration timestamp
· Every athlete will be placed (specific school not guaranteed)
👩🏫 Coach Registration/Selection
· Coach candidates must register through the Fall sideline Cheer Coaches Registration Program, which is separate from the program used to register your child.
· Please use your existing family account when registering as a coach.
· All Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches must register
· All coaches are subject to background checks (completed within our system)
· Each team may have:
o 1 Head Coach
o 1 Assistant Coaches
Head Coach Approval Process
- Head Coach applicants are reviewed by the CFSA Cheer Committee.
- All candidates must pass a background check
- Final approval is granted by the CFSA Cheer Committee
· Coaches are announced after team formations are completed.
📄 Grade & School Verification (Required)
You must email verification to bc@cy-fairsports.org before your player is placed on a team.
Accepted documents:
- Printed Spring 2026 report card (grades may be covered), OR
- Photo of the “Registration” tab from the CFISD student portal
- For Incoming Kindergarteners, a Birth Certificate or Immunization Record on a Doctor’s letterhead will be accepted.
⚠️ Online report cards must show the student’s name, school name and current grade. No exceptions.
