CFSA COVID-19 (CoronaVirus) Announcement - Wednesday, April 15, 2020

Dear CFSA Supporter,

I hope each of you are safe and healthy during this unprecedented circumstance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We continue to follow the directives of our State and Local government officials regarding social distancing and public gathering restrictions.  We know that some of you have reached out regarding the status of your player’s season and/or what our policies are for refunds.

For each sport, you can expect to receive an email from your respective Sports Commissioner regarding the season rescheduling or cancellation decisions.  To date, Soccer is trying to reschedule their season beginning in early May when we are hopeful that the social distancing and public gathering restrictions will be relaxed. Other sports like Baseball, Volleyball and Lacrosse are cancelled.  7-on-7 Football is still being reviewed by the Football Committee and you should be receiving notice from them soon on their decision.

Your options to consider are to request a refund, receive a “same sport” credit or make a tax deductible donation to CFSA in the amount of your registration fees paid.  We have been hit hard by the lost revenues from our programs and in order for us to continue providing the same high quality sports programs to you, we hope anyone who is able to donate, that you will seriously consider that option.

Our leadership team and our office personnel are working hard to make sure we come back as strong as we can given the circumstances.  Our existence depends on support from our customers, our sponsors and our donors.  I thank each of you for your continued support and if you are able, I hope you will continue your support in whatever way you are able.

 Take care and be safe,

Scott Huntsman

CFSA President

Volunteers are the DRIVING FORCE of CFSA!

We're just like you. We're teachers, business executives, parents, retirees, students...you name it. But the one thing we all have in common is our dedication to change. And the more volunteers we have, the bigger impact we can all make. TOGETHER!!!

Earlier this year a proposal by the former Executive Board was submitted to the General Membership for approval.  The proposal was a plan that would position CFSA to continue to grow and provide additional support within our own organization for our customers, children, facilities, and our community.  Over a two month period, the proposal was voted on and approved unanimously.  The former Executive Board has been restructured and is now known as The Operations Committee; the Ops Committee will oversee the day-to-day operations of CFSA.  In addition, a Board of Directors was created and will have one representative from each sport on the board that is not that sports respective sports commissioner.  The General Membership was eliminated and voting rights will now be obtained by attendance at each sports monthly committee meeting.

With the continued development of our Schiel Road Sports Complex, the addition of a soccer program, the growth of our lacrosse program, along with coaches clinics and certification programs for our coaches; CFSA is positioned to continue as one of the premier youth sporting organizations in the State of Texas.  Come learn how you can be part of the organization and continue the legacy of Cy-Fair Sports Association.

As CFSA works to expand our presence within our community, the need for additional volunteers is even greater. In addition to coaching there are other opportunities where you can help define CFSA's presence moving forward.
