League Description: The CFSA 7-on-7 Passing League is a competitive, one-hand touch football program that enables quarterbacks, receivers, running backs, defensive backs, linebackers and other skill players to improve their skills. The game is fast paced, exciting and challenging. It is a MUST DO for young football players wanting to improve their passing, catching, and defensive skills. It is also known to improve player speed, agility, and quickness because of its fast pace and the one-on-one play that is required. This game is played by most Texas High Schools during the summer months culminating in a state-wide tournament. This is a sport your athletes will be playing for many years!
Who Should Participate: Quarterbacks, Receivers, Running Backs, Corners, Safeties, Linebackers and other Skill Position players wanting to improve their game!
Team Formation: This is a Select League and Coaches will be able to form their own teams. Once you have registered as a coach you will submit your roster to office@cy-fairsports.org, for those registered players to be placed. Individual players without a team may register as well. Those players will be rostered together to create teams, based on schools attendance. Rosters will be frozen at the beginning of league play and no additional players will be allowed after league play begins (exceptions due to injury may apply at the discretion of the league commissioner).
Registration Deadline: Players must be registered by March 15, 2024. All players MUST be registered in Sportspilot to be eligible to play.
Season Start Date and Game Locations: The season will start on April 5, 2024. Games will be played on Friday nights. Teams will play 8 regular season games and then participate in a Championship Tournament to determine league champions at the Schiel Road Sports Complex on May 10, 2024. A schedule will be developed and distributed to Head Coaches after Registration is final and before the beginning of the Season. All Games will be played at the CFSA Schiel Road Sports Complex.
CFSA 7 on 7 registration is open. You can register online or in person at the office. The cost per player is $150. Registration will close March 15, 2024. Soft shell helmets will be mandatory.
Divisions – players will play in the division of their current grade (Fall 2023/Spring 2024)
3rd Grade Division - 3rd graders
4th Grade Division - 4th graders
5th Grade Division – 5th graders
6th Grade Division – 6th graders
7th Grade Division – 7th graders
8th Grade Division – 8th graders
High School Division – 9th & 10th graders
***In the event that divisions need to be combined we will do so prior to the start of the season***
We offer a High School division. All HS Teams will follow the Texas HS 7- on -7 Rules regarding team formations
Team Player Minimum/Maximum: The maximum number of roster players per team is 14 (HS Team exceptions per Texas 7on7 Rules) and minimum number of roster players per team is 10. 7 players will be required to start a game or the game will be forfeited. Soft shell helmets and mouth guards are MANDATORY.
