GAME DAYS/SCHEDULES:  Game Days: Monday –Friday- Start times for M-F range between 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Game Schedules to be published after team formation and can be found on our website. Baseball Schedule Link

PRACTICE SCHEDULES:  Practice Days/Times/Locations are all SELECTED by the volunteer head coach assigned to your player’s team after registration.  We are not able to accommodate practice day/time requests. *We limit all our sports to 3 events per week - games and practices.

TEAM FORMATION:   Teams are formed by the CFISD school that your child attends. If we have too many players from any school, a team of neighboring schools will be made. This allows Coaches to facilitate practices in and or around your area for convenience.  You are not required to attend school in CFISD to participate.  If you do live outside of the CFISD district, please note the CFISD school located closest to your home.

NOTIFICATION OF TEAM ASSIGNMENT:  After registration closes, teams will be formed, and coaches assigned.  Once the coaches’ background checks have been completed, rosters will be released to your player’s coach who will reach out to you via e-mail, so please watch the e-mail listed in your child’s profile.

FRIEND/COACH REQUEST: You can request a friend or coach prior to the close of regular registration if they are registered/are registering in the same age division.    The Baseball Committee will do their best to accommodate, but in some cases, it is not possible, and they will not move a player to different age group to accommodate a request.

COACHES REGISTRATION*Please consider volunteering to coach or help coach your child’s team!  You can register as a Coach, Assistant Coach, or Team Manager at the same time you register your child! (No charge obviously)! CFSA is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. Everyone from the President of our board, board members, commissioners, coaches and team contacts all voluntarily give of their time to ensure that our players have a great experience. Our coaches are parents, family members, and/or family friends – most of which have full time jobs and a busy life – who make time to coach, out of a love of their respective sport and their community. We allow people to co-coach with someone else if that option fits your schedule better. Coaches must be adults and pass a yearly background check to ensure the safety of our players.  Should you have questions about coaching please reach out to our baseball commissioner at baseball@cy-fairsports.org.

UNIFORMS:  Jersey, Hat & Belt provided.  Please make sure you update your player’s size on their profile when registering.  If an incorrect size is selected, the player’s family will be responsible for paying an additional $35 + tax & shipping to reorder the correct size.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Mandatory Sponsorships are required regardless.

Mission Statement

The goal of CFSA Baseball is to provide a place for our youth to learn the fundamentals of baseball and good sportsmanship. To achieve our goal, parents and coaches must work together to teach fielding, throwing, and hitting skills while instilling sportsmanlike attitudes and values such as honesty, fair play, and citizenship. Having a good attitude, winning and losing with dignity, respecting the official's decisions, playing by the rules, and giving maximum effort are equally as important as the development of solid baseball fundamental skills. Coaches, players, and parents are all expected to know and demonstrate the CFSA Fundamentals of Sportsmanship. It is the responsibility of all participants in the CFSA Baseball program to work towards achieving our goal.
